1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using Hedge Layer ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, you must not use the Service. We may update these Terms at any time; continued use constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

2. Service Description

Hedge Layer provides a unified interface to financial data and venue execution through MCP and HTTP. Clients can retrieve market observations, search web evidence, inspect order books, and submit, inspect, or cancel client-signed Polymarket orders.

Signing takes place on your client. The Service forwards request-specific authentication and signed payloads to the venue without storing wallet private keys or API signing secrets. Order matching and settlement are handled by the venue. The Service does not custody funds or perform withdrawals.

3. Fees & Monetization

Hedge Layer does not currently collect a subscription or transaction fee for the Service. Any future paid feature will be disclosed before it applies.

Any third-party platform, blockchain, payment, wallet, exchange, or trading fees are separate from Hedge Layer fees and may be charged by the relevant provider.

4. Important Risk Warnings

  • Total loss: Prediction market positions can result in the total loss of all funds committed. Do not commit more than you can afford to lose.
  • No financial advice: Hedge Layer does not provide financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. Market data and evidence results are for informational purposes only.
  • No protection: Prediction market contracts are not regulated financial instruments in most jurisdictions. You are unlikely to be covered by investor compensation schemes (such as the UK FSCS) or ombudsman services (such as the UK Financial Ombudsman Service).
  • No guarantee: Past market performance is not indicative of future results. Market observations may not accurately reflect current liquidity or market outcomes.
  • Liquidity risk: Prediction markets may have limited liquidity. Displayed prices may differ from actual fills, which may be partial or unavailable.
  • Third-party risk: External venues and blockchain systems may fail, change terms, or contain vulnerabilities. Hedge Layer does not control or reverse external transactions.

5. Eligibility & Restricted Jurisdictions

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. Hedge Layer does not determine your eligibility to use any external prediction-market venue. Venue restrictions vary by jurisdiction and may change.

You are responsible for ensuring your use of the Service complies with all applicable laws and third-party venue terms in your jurisdiction. You may not use Hedge Layer to facilitate circumvention of a venue's geographic or access restrictions.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and API tokens. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account.

All content, code, algorithms, and branding of Hedge Layer are our property or licensed to us. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our written consent.

9. Third-Party Services

The Service integrates with third-party platforms including Polymarket, Hyperliquid, Perplexity, Supabase, and Vercel. Your use of these services is governed by their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or security of third-party services.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that market data is accurate, complete, or up-to-date; that submitted orders will be accepted, filled, or settled as expected; or that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Hedge Layer and its affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or funds, whether incurred directly or indirectly, arising from your use of the Service — including losses from prediction market positions.

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal data in accordance with UK GDPR.

13. Account Termination

You may delete your account and data at any time via the Settings page. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
