1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using Hedge Layer ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, you must not use the Service. We may update these Terms at any time; continued use constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

2. Service Description

Hedge Layer is a prediction market intelligence platform. The Service uses AI to research topics, discover relevant prediction markets on Polymarket, and synthesize structured intelligence briefs. The Service provides:

AI-powered topic research and market discovery
Prediction market analysis and interestingness scoring
Structured Market Briefs with causal reasoning and coverage gaps
Saved market bookmarks and deterministic market feed screens
Dry-run liquidity allocation planning
Direct links to act on intelligence via Polymarket

3. Fees & Monetization

Hedge Layer does not charge a subscription, management fee, deposit fee, or withdrawal fee for access to the intelligence tools. If you opt into liquidity strategies, Hedge Layer charges a 12.5% fee only on net liquidity provision earnings generated through the strategy. If there are no LP earnings, there is no fee.

Any third-party platform, blockchain, payment, wallet, exchange, or trading fees are separate from Hedge Layer fees and may be charged by the relevant provider.

4. Important Risk Warnings

Capital at Risk — Please Read Carefully

Total loss: Prediction market positions can result in the total loss of all funds committed. Do not commit more than you can afford to lose.
No financial advice: Hedge Layer does not provide financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. All information and Market Briefs, feed screens, and allocator plans are for informational purposes only.
No protection: Prediction market contracts are not regulated financial instruments in most jurisdictions. You are unlikely to be covered by investor compensation schemes (such as the UK FSCS) or ombudsman services (such as the UK Financial Ombudsman Service).
No guarantee: Past market performance is not indicative of future results. Market Briefs and allocator plans are model-based or rules-based outputs and may not accurately reflect actual risk exposure, liquidity, or market outcomes.
Liquidity risk: Prediction markets may have limited liquidity. Orders may experience slippage, partial fills, or may not be executable at displayed prices.
Smart contract risk: Trading occurs via smart contracts on the Polygon blockchain. Smart contracts may contain bugs or vulnerabilities. Blockchain transactions are irreversible.

5. Eligibility & Restricted Jurisdictions

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. You may not use trading features if you are located in a restricted jurisdiction. Trading access is blocked in the following countries (non-exhaustive):

Australia, Belarus, Belgium, Burundi, Central African Republic, Cuba, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Ethiopia, France, Germany, Iran, Iraq, Italy, Libya, Lebanon, Myanmar, Netherlands, Nicaragua, North Korea, Russia, Somalia, South Sudan, Sudan, Syria, United Kingdom, United States, Venezuela, Yemen, Zimbabwe — and certain regions of Canada (Ontario), Ukraine, Poland, Singapore, Thailand, and Taiwan.

You are responsible for ensuring your use of the Service complies with all applicable laws in your jurisdiction. Circumvention of geographic restrictions (e.g. via VPN) is a violation of these Terms.

6. Account & Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and API tokens. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Use the Service for money laundering or terrorist financing
Manipulate markets or engage in wash trading
Circumvent geographic restrictions or access controls
Reverse-engineer, scrape, or overload the Service infrastructure
Use the Service in violation of any applicable law

8. Intellectual Property

All content, code, algorithms, and branding of Hedge Layer are our property or licensed to us. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our written consent.

9. Third-Party Services

The Service integrates with third-party platforms including Polymarket, OpenRouter and AI model providers, Supabase, Vercel, and Resend. Your use of these services is governed by their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or security of third-party services.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that market data is accurate, complete, or up-to-date; that Market Briefs, feed screens, or allocator plans will achieve desired outcomes; or that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Hedge Layer and its affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or funds, whether incurred directly or indirectly, arising from your use of the Service — including losses from prediction market positions.

12. Data & Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal data in accordance with UK GDPR.

13. Account Termination

You may delete your account and data at any time via the Settings page. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
